2025 marked a defining year for Morphotonics. As demand for AI glasses and advanced display technologies accelerated globally, we scaled our operations, expanded internationally, and introduced new high-volume manufacturing solutions for waveguide production.
Expanding Our Global Presence
To support growing customer demand in augmented reality (AR) and AI-powered smart glasses, we strengthened both our infrastructure and our international footprint. Our HQ in Veldhoven underwent a major interior upgrade, preparing our facilities for continued growth and next-generation nanoimprint lithography development. At the same time, we opened our China office to provide local service and closer collaboration with customers across Asia. This expansion enables faster support, shorter supply chains, and accelerated innovation in AR waveguides and advanced display manufacturing.
Installations of the Aurora 1100 + Launch of Cypris X600
Throughout 2025, multiple Aurora 1100 systems were successfully installed at customer sites. The Aurora 1100 is our largest automated Gen5 nanoimprint platform, specifically designed for scalable waveguide manufacturing. These installations mark an important step toward industrializing AR waveguide production for consumer AI glasses. Alongside the installations of the Aurora 1100, we launched the Cypris X600. It is our first high-volume manufacturing platform purpose-built to address one of the industry’s biggest challenges: waveguide production scalability.
As AI glasses move from prototype to mass adoption, scalable waveguide fabrication becomes critical. The Cypris X600 enables high-throughput, cost-efficient nanoimprint lithography, helping manufacturers accelerate time-to-market. More can be read on the Cypris X600 here. In the fall of 2025, the first module was shipped to our Alpha customer in Asia, marking yet another major milestone in scaling the next generation of AI and AR display products.
Supporting our growth
Our milestones in 2025 would not have been possible without the efforts of our team. To support our growth, the Morphotonics team expanded to 50 employees in 2025. Our growing team of engineers, specialists, and leaders continues to push the boundaries of nanoimprint technology for AR and AI consumer products.
To 2026 and beyond, we thank everyone who is part of our journey.
